Trusted Fishes Exporters from India to Gulf Region

Indian seafood workers inspecting export quality fish for UAE market

Our Mission

Mad Era is a UAE-based General Trading FZCO company that exports fresh, chilled, and frozen fish from India to seafood importers, wholesale distributors, supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. We are an exporter only, not a manufacturer. We source from MPEDA-registered seafood processing units in India and handle the complete export chain from cold storage and packaging to air and sea freight and documentation.

Why Indian Fish Is in High Demand Across the Gulf

Diverse Species Range from Both Indian Coasts

India’s east and west coastlines produce a wide variety of fish species in demand across different GCC buyer segments. Pomfret, seer fish, tuna, mackerel, snapper, grouper, and sardines are all commercially available from Indian fisheries and processors. Buyers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar can source multiple species from one Indian export relationship.

Fresh Fish Air Freight Is Commercially Viable

The 8 to 16 hour air transit from major Indian airports to Dubai International Airport makes fresh fish export from India to the Gulf commercially practical. Hotels and fine dining restaurants in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar that need fresh fish for premium menus can receive Indian species within the same working day.

Competitive Pricing Against European and Pacific Origins

Indian fish is priced below comparable species from European, New Zealand, or Australian origins. For wholesale importers, supermarket buyers, and food service distributors purchasing fish in volume across the GCC, the price difference makes Indian fish a commercially sound sourcing choice.

Short Sea Transit for Frozen Fish Supply

Frozen fish travels from Nhava Sheva, Mundra, or Chennai to Jebel Ali in 5 to 8 days, to Jeddah in 10 to 13 days, to Muscat in 6 to 9 days, and to Doha in 8 to 11 days. These transit times are shorter than shipments from Southeast Asian or Pacific origins and keep logistics costs competitive for GCC importers.

MPEDA Registration and HACCP Compliance

Every seafood processing facility exporting through Mad Era is registered with MPEDA, India’s Marine Products Export Development Authority, and operates under HACCP food safety management systems. Pre-shipment inspection by the Export Inspection Agency provides an additional quality and safety verification layer before each consignment is cleared for export.

Strong Year-Round Demand Across All GCC Buyer Segments

Gulf communities in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar have strong fish consumption habits. Hotels, restaurants, fish markets, supermarkets, and food processors across the GCC create consistent year-round demand that Indian fish exports are well-positioned to serve at scale.

Our Fish Export Process from India to GCC Ports

Step 1 - Sourcing from MPEDA-Registered Seafood Facilities:

We source from MPEDA-registered seafood processing units and licensed fishing operations on both the east and west coasts of India.

Step 2 - Species Selection, Grading, and Cleaning:

Fish is selected by species and size grade, cleaned, gutted where required, and inspected for export quality before proceeding to the packaging stage.

Step 3 - Processing to Buyer Specification:

Fish is processed to the required format such as whole round, gutted and cleaned, filleted, steaked, or IQF portions according to the GCC buyer’s order specification.

Step 4 - Temperature-Controlled Packing:

Fresh fish is packed in insulated cartons with ice or gel packs for air freight. Frozen fish is blast frozen and individually quick frozen or block frozen depending on species and format, then packed in export cartons.

Step 5 - Pre-Shipment Inspection by EIA:

The Export Inspection Agency conducts a pre-shipment quality and safety inspection of each consignment before it is cleared for export, providing a documented compliance record for GCC customs authorities.

Step 6 - Export Documentation Prepared In-House:

Mad Era prepares the complete document set including MPEDA certificate, EIA health certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and airway bill or bill of lading before the shipment departs India.

Step 7 - Air or Sea Freight to GCC:

Fresh fish travels by air from Mumbai, Kochi, or Vishakhapatnam to Dubai International Airport in 8 to 16 hours. Frozen fish travels by sea freight in reefer containers from Nhava Sheva or Chennai reaching Jebel Ali in 5 to 8 days, Jeddah in 10 to 13 days, Muscat in 6 to 9 days, and Doha in 8 to 11 days.

Direct Sourcing from MPEDA-Registered Processing Facilities

We source directly from MPEDA-registered seafood processors and licensed fishing operations. There are no brokers between the source and the export container. GCC buyers get transparent pricing and full product traceability from catch to shipment.

Consistent Fish Quality Across Species and Formats

All fish is graded, cleaned, and processed to the agreed specification before packing. Pre-shipment EIA inspection provides additional verification. Buyers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar receive consistent fish quality and accurate species and size across every order.

Complete Cold Chain from Processing to GCC Port

Fresh fish is packed and dispatched under controlled temperature conditions for air freight. Frozen fish is blast frozen and maintained in reefer containers at minus 18 degrees Celsius throughout sea transit. Mad Era coordinates both cold chains to ensure product arrives in the condition it was packed.
