Trusted Crabs Exporters from India to the Gulf Region
Our Mission
Mad Era is a UAE-based General Trading FZCO company that exports fresh and frozen crabs from India to seafood importers, distributors, hotels, restaurants, and retail buyers across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. We are an exporter only, not a manufacturer. We source from MPEDA-registered seafood processing facilities in India and manage the complete export chain from cold chain handling and packaging to air and sea freight and documentation.
Why Indian Crabs Are in High Demand Across the Gulf
Diverse Species from Both Indian Coasts
India exports mud crabs, flower crabs, blue swimming crabs, and other species from its east and west coast fisheries. This diversity means buyers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar can source different crab types for different market segments, from premium mud crabs for fine dining to frozen flower crab clusters for retail, all through one Indian export relationship.
Live Crab Air Freight Is Commercially Viable
The short air transit from major Indian airports to Dubai International Airport, typically 12 to 18 hours, makes live crab export from India commercially practical. The fine dining and seafood restaurant sector across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar has consistent demand for live crabs, and Indian exporters who supply live mud crabs reliably fill a gap that frozen product cannot.
Price Advantage Over Southeast Asian Origins
Indian crab pricing is competitive compared to similar species exported from Southeast Asian countries. For wholesale seafood buyers and importers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar managing margins across retail and food service, Indian crabs offer quality product at price points that keep supply chain costs reasonable.
Consistent Supply Across Catch Seasons
India’s two coastlines and multiple fishing zones mean that when one crab catch season slows in one region, production from another typically continues. Gulf importers who work with reliable Indian exporters benefit from more consistent availability across the year than a single-coast fishery can offer.
MPEDA Registration and HACCP Compliance
Seafood processing facilities exporting crabs through Mad Era are registered with MPEDA, India’s Marine Products Export Development Authority, and operate under HACCP food safety management systems. Customs authorities in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar require documented compliance for all seafood imports, and MPEDA registration confirms the exporting facility meets the required standards.
Strong Gulf Demand Across Multiple Buyer Segments
The large South Asian communities and thriving hotel and restaurant sectors across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar all create demand for crabs at different price and format levels. Indian crab exports can serve all of these segments through a combination of live air freight, frozen whole crab sea freight, and processed crab meat.
Our Crabs Export Process from India to GCC Ports
Step 1 - Sourcing from MPEDA-Registered Facilities:
We source from MPEDA-registered seafood processing units and licensed fishing operations on both the east and west coasts of India.
Step 2 - Species Selection and Grading:
Crabs are graded by species, size, and weight. Only crabs meeting export grade specifications for size and condition are selected for packing.
Step 3 - Processing and Packaging by Format:
Live crabs are packed in ventilated styrofoam boxes with appropriate conditions. Frozen crabs are blast frozen and packed in vacuum cartons. Crab meat is picked and sealed in food-grade containers.
Step 4 - Cold Chain Maintenance from Processing to Port:
Temperature control is maintained continuously from processing through cold storage to port loading. Frozen product is held at minus 18 degrees Celsius. Live crab is maintained in appropriate survival conditions until air freight departure.
Step 5 - HACCP-Compliant Packing and Pre-Shipment Inspection:
All crab products are packed under HACCP food safety protocols. Pre-shipment inspection is conducted by the Export Inspection Agency before each consignment is cleared for export.
Step 6 - Export Documentation Prepared In-House:
Mad Era prepares the complete document set including MPEDA certificate, EIA health certificate, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and airway bill or bill of lading before the shipment departs India.
Step 7 - Air or Sea Freight to GCC:
Live crabs travel by air freight from major Indian airports to Dubai International Airport in 12 to 18 hours. Frozen crabs travel by sea freight from Nhava Sheva or Chennai reaching Jebel Ali in 5 to 8 days, Jeddah in 10 to 13 days, Muscat in 6 to 9 days, and Doha in 8 to 11 days.
Why GCC Importers Choose Mad Era Over Other Crab Exporters
Live Crab Air Freight Capability
Mad Era can arrange live mud crab air freight from major Indian airports to Dubai within 12 to 18 hours. Live crabs arrive viable and fresh, ready for seafood restaurants and retail markets across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar that require live product rather than frozen.
Direct Sourcing from MPEDA-Registered Facilities
We source directly from MPEDA-registered seafood processors and fishing operations, ensuring full traceability, government-authorized product, and no intermediary markup between the source and the export container.
Consistent Crab Quality Across All Formats
Whether live, frozen whole, or processed crab meat, all product is graded and quality-checked before packing. Only product meeting export parameters moves forward. Buyers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar receive consistent crab quality across all order types and delivery modes.
Complete Cold Chain from Harvest to GCC Port
Temperature control is continuous from catch or processing through to port delivery in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, or Qatar. Frozen crab travels in reefer containers at minus 18 degrees Celsius. Live crab is maintained in appropriate conditions throughout air transit.
All Seafood Documentation Managed In-House
Every crab shipment document from MPEDA certificate and EIA health certificate to certificate of origin, commercial invoice, and shipping documents is prepared by Mad Era internally. GCC buyers receive a complete set before the shipment departs, enabling smooth port clearance.
Multiple Species and Formats from One Supplier
Mad Era supplies mud crabs, flower crabs, and other species in live, frozen whole, and processed crab meat formats. Buyers in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar do not need separate supplier relationships for different crab products or formats.
Fast Response and Dedicated GCC Account Support
Every crab buyer account at Mad Era in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar has a dedicated export manager who handles species selection, pricing, logistics, and documentation. Enquiries receive a response within 24 hours on business days.
